Welcome Friends!

I was born and raised in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Growing up, my two passions in life were the outdoors and being around animals. There is nothing I enjoy more than a hike through the woods with my favorite furry companions, basking in all of nature's splendor and beauty.

Daphne, a.k.a. "Dapper" was my first dog who showed me what unconditional love really is. She was also my first "hiking partner". We would spend countless hours wandering about the countryside appreciating all that nature had to offer. Unfortunately, our love was cut short due to a rare form of cancer. Losing her was like losing a part of myself. That's when she sent a little "Pook" into the picture. She sent me Violet.

Violet appeared to be a 'Chorkie' and was a rescue from the Lancaster SPCA. She had been at the shelter for almost a month after the Lancaster City Police found her homeless, almost furless, covered in fleas, extremely thin, and apparently eating anything she could find to stay alive. The SPCA labeled her "special needs" because of a cancerous mammary tumor on her chest.  She had been placed in the shelter the day Daphne died. I knew it was fate. I knew I had to help her and and give her the chance that all dogs deserve; To be loved and have a home.  Although I certainly had not planned to adopt another dog so quickly after losing Daphne, I indeed adopted Violet and she instantly became a beloved member of the family. After several surgeries and a special diet, she was able to enjoy a new family and loving home.

Devastatingly, after almost 3 years the cancer returned and was inoperable. 'Pookie' joined her sister 'Dapper' on the Rainbow Bridge in April of 2019.

This company is named for and dedicated to my two precious fur babies whom I miss every day. I continue on with the art of cold-process soap making, and smile thinking of my girls and the love we shared.

Although soap is nothing new, each batch is a new opportunity to sculpt natures ingredients into something of pure impulse and imagination. Its a craft that I truly enjoy and I wanted to honor the the two souls who inspired me to discover it... Pook and Dapper.

I sincerely Thank You for reading my story and taking the time to visit my page. I wish you happiness, love, and wet nose kisses!

                                                     Truly,

                                               Stacey
